MyWay Dance Studio Policies & Terms

Registration and Agreement
All students (or a parent/legal guardian for minors) must complete registration and sign the required Liability Waiver before participating in any class, private lesson, workshop, camp, event, showcase, or competition organized by MyWay Dance Studio. By registering, students and parents acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all studio policies.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
Dance is a physical activity involving movement, stretching, jumping, partner work, balance, and athletic exercise. Participation carries an inherent risk of injury. By enrolling in MyWay Dance Studio, students and parents/guardians voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in any studio activity. MyWay Dance Studio, its owners, instructors, employees, independent contractors, and facility partners shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, loss of personal property, or damages resulting from participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, camps, workshops, or any other studio-related activities, except where required by applicable law. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for determining whether their child is physically capable of participating in dance activities.
Student Safety
Student safety is our highest priority. Parents/guardians are responsible for:
• Arriving on time for drop-off and pick-up.
• Providing accurate emergency contact information.
• Informing the studio of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or physical limitations.
MyWay Dance Studio is not responsible for supervising students before class begins or after class has ended.
Membership Payments
Group Class Memberships operate on a recurring monthly AutoPay subscription through Square. Membership fees are charged automatically each month on the original enrollment date. Membership tuition reserves a student's place in class and is not based on the exact number of classes held in a particular month. Because holidays, studio breaks, and calendar variations affect the number of weekly classes, some months may include more classes while others include fewer. Tuition is calculated across the entire dance season and remains consistent regardless of the number of classes offered in any individual month. All group classes must be paid before participation.
Membership Cancellation
Customers may cancel their membership at any time through the Square Subscription Portal. Every Square payment receipt includes a cancellation link. MyWay Dance Studio staff and management do not manually cancel memberships on behalf of customers. Payments already processed are non-refundable.
Group Classes
Missed group classes are non-refundable. When available, make-up classes may be offered at the studio's discretion but are not guaranteed.
Private Lessons
Private lessons may be scheduled:
• as a Single Private Lesson; or
• as a Discounted Private Lesson Package.
Payment is required before every lesson. Students purchasing lesson packages receive discounted pricing and maintain a Private Lesson Credit balance. Private Lesson Credits remain separate from Group Memberships and cannot be transferred between different services.
Private lessons may be canceled or rescheduled without charge by providing at least 24 hours' notice. Lessons canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are considered completed and are non-refundable. Exceptions may be considered only in cases of serious illness or emergency at the discretion of the studio.
Private Lesson Cancellation Policy
Students with a recurring private lesson time slot will retain that same day and time each week. If a scheduled recurring lesson must be missed, the lesson may be:
• rescheduled to another available time that week; or
• rescheduled based on instructor and studio availability.
Recurring time slots are not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely and may be adjusted based on studio scheduling needs.
Recurring Private Lesson Schedule
MyWay Dance Studio reserves the right to reschedule, substitute, or cancel classes and private lessons due to circumstances including but not limited to:
• Instructor illness or emergency;
• Inclement weather or unsafe travel conditions;
• Staffing changes or instructor turnover;
• Studio maintenance or facility issues;
• Low class enrollment;
• Scheduling conflicts with studio events, performances, or competitions; or
• Any other circumstance deemed necessary by studio management.
Students and parents will be notified as soon as possible of any changes to the regular schedule.
Instructor Scheduling and Studio Right to Reschedule
Group Memberships:
• Group class membership payments are non-refundable once processed.
• Cancelling a membership stops future billing but does not refund past payments.
Private Lesson Credits:
• Private Lesson Credits are non-refundable but do not expire and may be used for any future private lesson.
Studio Credit:
• In select circumstances, refunds may be issued as Studio Credit at the discretion of management.
• Studio Credit may be applied toward future tuition, private lessons, merchandise, or events.
Refund Policy
Photography and Video Release
MyWay Dance Studio may photograph or video record classes, rehearsals, performances, and events for use in:
• Studio marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and advertisements;
• The studio website and blog;
• Social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok;
• Promotional videos and highlight reels; and
• Local press or media coverage.
By enrolling, students and parents/guardians grant MyWay Dance Studio permission to use such photos and videos without compensation.
Photo & Video Opt-Out:
Parents or guardians who do not wish their child to be photographed or recorded may submit a written opt-out request to the studio office. MyWay Dance Studio will make reasonable efforts to honor opt-out requests but cannot guarantee exclusion from group photos or recordings during shared studio events.
Illness Policy
Students experiencing fever, contagious illness, vomiting, or other symptoms that could affect other participants should remain home until fully recovered.
Students are responsible for their personal belongings. MyWay Dance Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
Personal Property
Code of Conduct
All students, parents, and guests are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect and courtesy. MyWay Dance Studio maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:
• Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind;
• Disruptive or unsafe behavior during class or studio events; and
• Disrespect toward instructors, staff, or other students.
Violation of these standards may result in removal from class or termination of enrollment at the studio's discretion.
Studio Closures
MyWay Dance Studio may close or cancel classes due to circumstances including but not limited to:
• Federal, state, or local holidays;
• Severe weather or natural disasters;
• Power outages or utility failures;
• Health department or government mandates;
• Building maintenance or repairs;
• Staff training or studio events; or
• Any other circumstance beyond the studio's control.
Make-up classes or credits are not guaranteed for studio closures.
Policy Updates
MyWay Dance Studio reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time. The most current version will always be available on the official MyWay Dance Studio website.
